Join us for a weekend of training for women in the LA area!
You’ll notice that STAND is different than a retreat, and it’s not a conference. It really is a weekend of training.
In every missional movement, you will find strong, pioneering, extraordinary women on the front lines. Yet today, all too often when we train people for this work, women are left on back-burner. This workshop is an equipping weekend specifically for women.
As we equip women for a missional life, we recognize the first battle is knowing who you are are what you’re created for! Understaning the fullness of what it means to be in God’s covanant family, what He says about you, and what that means, then, for how you represent Him in the world brings incredible breakthrough. It effects everything, really. How you disciple others, building a life worth imitating, reaching a broken world – it all starts with identity.
You’ll hear teaching from pioneering women who are practitioners – who practice what we preach with both discipleship and mission. Beacuse this is an equipping weekend, we’ll be giving you practical tools to live into all we teach, as well as give you opportunity to listen for what God is saying to you personally through huddle.
It’s a weekend of growth, of opportunity, of connecting with God and receiving from Him in powerful ways that will equip you for your everyday life as a disciple of Jesus. Bring your friends, your teams, your huddle, your people.
This is not a retreat and not a conference – it’s practical training starting with the Word of God and landing on how to live into it. We’ll provide coffee and snacks throughout the event. Please come having already eaten on Friday evening.

Explore the dynamics of making disciples of Jesus who can join God in his mission. Discover the principles of going from having a ministry to leading a movement: reproducing disciples instead [...]
- Teaching that will help frame discipleship and mission in a new light
- Training with your team to help you apply principles contextually
- Effective vehicles for discipleship and mission, such as Huddles and Missional Communities
- What it’s like to be part of a 3DM Learning Community (two-year journey of culture change)
What will the workshop be like?
You will have a chance to hear teachings about discipleship and mission and how we are practically seeing those things worked out in local church contexts. You’ll get to experience Huddles and Missional Communities (rather than simply hear the theory). There will be large amounts of Q&A, consultations for your team with our team. Worship. Down time. It’s a great mixture of work, practice, theory and team time.
Who is the workshop for?
Anyone who would like to come, but we strongly encourage you to come with at least one other person. If possible, bring a whole team from your church community so you can discuss the workshop along the way. If at all possible, it’d be great to have the senior leader there so the whole team is exposed to these ideas.
